Range: Tanimbar Islands

Habitat: Grass lands, open plains

Natural Diet: Primarily Seeds

Diet at Rain Forest: Seeds with fruit and vegetables offered daily

Size: 8-10"

Rain Forest Facts: One of the smallest of all cockatoo species this beautiful white bird often has small amounts of pink or salmon coloration around the beak and eyes.  A very small crest is often raised when the bird is happy or alarmed. 

This species is often confused with the Little Corella

Status in Wild: Substantial logging and habitat destruction on the islands of Tanimbar have resulted in significant loss of bird populations, the Goffins has been negatively impacted by the loss of the habitat. .
